Thus Spoke Zarathustra
This course does not retell the four parts. It takes the book as a way of asking that can be lifted off it: behind every 'ought' stands a legislator and a history, so find the legislator first, then ask what condition it serves. The book has almost no arguments, only images, so each derivation block reconstructs the thought behind an image and marks, line by line, what the original wrote and what this course added. The last chapter audits the first six and handles the book's reception history and the posthumous compilation. It is an independent re-explanation based on Thomas Common's 1909 public-domain translation; most examples are our own and quotations name their section.
